Make Fundraising easy and reach your goal by following a couple of these ideas:

  • Ask friends, colleagues, community members, etc. to support you with a small financial contribution of $5.00 to $20.00 each. If each team member raises $100.00 - $200.00, just think about the fundraising potential of your entire team.
  • Ask your workplace to consider a tax-deductible event sponsorship. There are many different packages to suit your company's individual needs!
  • Ask your company to match your fundraising efforts through a matching gift. Many companies have such a program and are happy to support their employees' charitable endeavors.
  • Organize a neighborhood card night, bingo game, bake sale, yard sale, or craft sale to help you raise funds.
  • Have a fundraising dinner or hapy hour at your favorite restaurant or bar.  Some bars offer an open bar for a certain amount of money where you and the bar split the proceeds.
  • Host your own cocktail or dinner party at your house and encourage your guests to bring donations instead of a bottle of wine or other gifts.
  • Plan a fun night of bowling at your local lanes.  Ask the owner to waive or deduct the cost of bowling so you can receive the proceeds.
  • Host a dress down day at your workplace.  Talk to your boss about charging each person $1-$5 to wear a pair of jeans at work.
  • Don't forget to ask all of the people you don't see everyday, like your doctor, dentist, mechanic, dry cleaner, and hairdresser.  See if your hairdresser will donate $2 of every haircut they complete over one weekend.
  • If you are a regular at a coffee shop or any other store ask the manager if you can keep a donation jar at the counter.
